HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL GAY PEOPLE…. It’s June! We love Pride month because gay tourists from all over like to visit San Francisco (still has a reputation for being a gay-friendly/LGBTQ+ mecca of sorts) and we usually end up on folks’ travel lists so we expand our hours and host our BUY GAY ART show this month.
If you or someone you know is an artist, you can sign up to be featured on our walls (there is no submission process – everyone who signs up on this spreadsheet is automatically accepted for the walls, given that you can a.) make the deadline and b.) frame anything that needs to be framed/follow the instructions) – please keep note of that spreadsheet for the instructions and due date. The deadline to drop off your art is June 15th! You can also find the link to apply to pop-up in the space in the spreadsheet.
An important note: We love hosting free events, and we want to continue to do so but unfortunately costs are rising: PG&E, SF Water and Recology all raised their rates this year in addition to our tiered rent increase, and sales have dropped overall, making this a difficult endeavor. We ask that folks attending our free events please make an effort to buy something in the shop OR join our Patreon OR make a monthly or one-time tax deductible donation using our Mazlo campaign.
