Hi everyone! We are looking to put out a FREE zine for customers, fans of the shop, and well, anyone who wants one…! It would be cool to be able to do this regularly, but for now we are starting with one and seeing how it goes!
To make this zine really cool and special, we would love to include contributions from our friends: that’s YOU! (Maybe?) Perhaps you have a poem, flash fiction, or a piece of artwork that you’d like to be shared with the world… Perhaps you have an op-ed essay you’d like to share about a social justice issue or something you are passionate about – literally it can be anything! We only have a few guidelines, and they are largely to do with formatting and space.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR WRITTEN PIECES:
- Max: 700 words / one page word document or less
- Please submit an editable word document that you don’t mind me re-formatting OR format your document with the size of 4 inches width and 5 inches height in mind (it’s a horizontally folded piece of 8.5×11 paper)
- Please include a title, and a byline (your preferred name for the piece, and it can be anonymous)
- feel free to ask me for examples!!
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR ART:
- DPI 300 in CMYK colorscale
- a page is about 4″ wide x 5″ tall
- no more than one page
- allowed filetypes: PDF, PNG, JPG
