Hey all! We have a lot of interesting things happening in October and I’d love folks to especially take a look at our ZINE WORKSHOPS!!!
Weds., Oct. 7 @ 6-8pm: What is SF DSA? Infoshare event part of our C.R.A.F.T series! Some folks from the SF DSA are going to come into the shop and talk about what they’ve been up to and answer some questions you may have along the way.
Saturday, Oct. 10 @ 2-4pm: Letter Writing with Flying Over Walls, Bay Area. They will be joining us from 1-4pm so come on down and write a birthday card to one of our queer/trans incarcerated comrades! (supplies provided)
Monday, Oct. 12 @ 6:30pm: Babes Who Book! This is the first and only(!) October meeting. Babes Who Book is an informal book club where we will share what we have been reading lately. Please make an effort to be on-time if you’d like to share your reading activity so that you can sign up and be on the list to speak. Sharing is optional and you are more than welcome to hang out and listen to get recommendations. Attendees receive 10% off all books, graphic novels and manga.
Weds., Oct. 14 @ 6-8pm: ftp crafts & zines to fundraise after violence at pride – We are hosting a craft & zine-making night to raise funds for someone impacted by violence at pride. We will also be talking about how we can pressure City Hall & Mayor Lurie to drop the remaining charges against the Trans March Defendants, and share some stamped postcards and what to write on it, that people can send.
Monday, Oct. 19 @ 6pm: Beads 4 Pal! We have SO MANY BEADS!!! If you have extra string or pairs of scissors those would be useful but we have an obscene amount of beads – help us make bracelets and accessories to sell to send money to our friends in Gaza!
Saturday, Oct. 24 @ 1-3: Magic Brunch & Tarot with Maya! Maya is back in the shop for another Magic Brunch & Tarot reading! Mark your calendars for October 24 – she will be doing readings & candle color consults for those who purchase a ticket (sliding scale, $15-30) And we will have some snacks and beverages for the occasion.
