Thursday, October 3, from 6:00pm-7:30pm: Queer Craft/DIY night! Bring your own crafts. Sign up through Eventbrite to save a spot (free) as space is limited.
Saturday, Oct. 12 from 1-4pm: Letter Writing with Flying Over Walls, Bay Area. They will be joining us from 1-4pm so come on down and write a birthday card to one of our queer/trans incarcerated comrades! (supplies provided) – be sure to also check out the graphic novels, zines, and books from A.B.O Comix! ABO Comix is a publisher that works with incarcerated queer/trans comrades and produces their art, writings, etc – all profits go to supporting the prisoners. Read more here.
Sunday, Oct. 13 from 12-2:30pm: Magic Brunch! Come hang out with our resident witch, Maya, who curates the Magic Shop at Sour Cherry Comics. Tickets are sliding scale $15-30, with no one turned away for lack of funds, and you can pay for admission at the door. Paid participants will get a tarot reading and color consultation. We will also be serving coffee, donuts and non-alcoholic mimosas. You may RSVP on Eventbrite for free to secure a spot.
Monday, Oct. 14 at 6:30pm: Babes Who Book! This is the first September Babes Who Book, the second will be Oct. 28. Attendees get 10% off books/graphic novels!
Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 6:30pm: Election Prep! There’s a lot of propositions on the November ballot and they can get pretty confusing so we want to take an evening to go over them all and the ways they would affect our city/state and those of us living here.
Tuesday, Oct. 29 @ 6:00pm: Manga Book Club! We will be discussing volume 1 of Witch Hat Atelier. You may RSVP on Eventbrite if you like. Please let us know if you would like to buy a copy through us so that we can reserve you a copy.
Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 5-8pm: GAY GUNDAM NIGHT! RSVP on Eventbrite (free) as space is limited. Bring your own gunpla!
