It’s that time… for our third annual SOUR CHERRY CON! That’s right, folks, it’s time for Free Comic Book Day and our very special mini comic con in the shop. On Saturday, May 4th, we are super excited to host the Butler Cafe and a special tea party! We will also have free comic books and a zine and comics making game. (Timing is TBD and signups for both events will become available in the next week!)
Thursday, May 2 from 6-7:30pm: Queer Craft/DIY Night! Sign up on Eventbrite, as space is limited. If you can’t make it, be sure to cancel your ticket so someone else can join.
SATURDAY, MAY 4th, 11-7pm: SOUR CHERRY ‘CON DAY ONE! We will have: FREE COMICS! A zine making game AND a very special TEA PARTY with the Butler Cafe V in the afternoon! We will also be raffling off a DEMON SLAYER BOX SET and some other fun Sour Cherry goodies…
SUNDAY, MAY 5th, 2-6pm: SOUR CHERRY ‘CON DAY TWO: ARTIST ALLEY! We will be featuring local artists as well as some very special guests from the movie: LUMPIA WITH A VENGEANCE!
Saturday, May 11, from 1-4pm: Letter Writing with Flying Over Walls, Bay Area. They will be joining us from 1-4pm so come on down and write a birthday card to one of our queer/trans incarcerated comrades! (supplies provided) – be sure to also check out the graphic novels, zines, and books from A.B.O Comix! ABO Comix is a publisher that works with incarcerated queer/trans comrades and produces their art, writings, etc – all profits go to supporting the prisoners. Read more here.

Wednesday, May 22 @ 6:30pm: 18+ Erotica Writing Workshop with Natalie Sierra! Join us in the shop for the return of our favorite mistress of erotica writing and poetry. Natalie will take us through basic and intermediate elements of erotica writing with some exercises and a q&a session. Tickets available on Eventbrite.
Monday, May 27 @ 6:30pm: Babes who Book (2nd monthly meeting) – drop in to discuss what’s on your reading list, what you’re currently reading, what you’re excited about, etc. If you can, try to be on time so we only have to do introductions once… ! Haha..
