Hey would you look at that… It’s December already. Can you believe it? I sure can’t… Here’s the schedule for this month of merriment:
Thurs., Dec. 7 @ 6pm: Queer Crafting Night! Space is limited – Please RSVP on Eventbrite. (free)
Sat., Dec. 9 from 1-4pm: Letter Writing with Flying Over Walls, Bay Area. They will be joining us from 1-4pm so come on down and write a birthday card to one of our queer/trans incarcerated comrades! (supplies provided) – be sure to also check out the graphic novels, zines, and books from A.B.O Comix! ABO Comix is a publisher that works with incarcerated queer/trans comrades and produces their art, writings, etc – all profits go to supporting the prisoners. Read more here.
Sun., Dec. 10 @ 2pm: Full Queer Ugly Sweater Promo Party ~ We will watch clips from recent matches and have some light refreshments available. Wear your ugliest sweater!
Mon., Dec. 11 @ 6:30pm: Babes Who Book – December meeting! This is the only meeting we will have in December as the 4th Monday falls on Christmas.
Weds., Dec. 13 @ 6pm: Mission Mini Comix! MMC is a collaborative zine-making group. If you like zines, would like to contribute, or just want a space to hang out and draw/be creative with other artists, then come on down!
Tues., Dec. 19 @ 7pm: Manga Book Club! We are discussing “I’m In Love With The Villainess vol. 1” – available in-stock at our store!
Friday, Dec. 22 @ 6pm: HoliGAY Tea Party! Sip tea and hang out in your favorite gay comic shop, if you’re in town and want something cute n’ fun to do. Cash tips for this event will be much appreciated.
It is a quiet month, because we know that a lot of people are going to be out of town, and we do not want to compete with anyone’s holiday shopping or family plans.
