Hi all! We are starting up a new, regularly scheduled event that we are calling “Babes who Book!” for bookworms (of all genders) who want to chat with other bookworms and nerds about what we are reading.
Fully stole this idea from a fabulous lady who came in on Friday and told me about how she + her friends have “Book Talks” and not Book Club because “we don’t like being told what to read!” And I love that energy. Also, I don’t like the pressure of book clubs to read specific books I might not be interested in.
This is a super casual, informal group that you can drop in any time and will meet in person every 2nd & 4th Monday at 6:30 (with the exception of the 4th Monday in December which will be Christmas.)
Now for the really exciting part… Attendees will receive 10% off any purchases in-store! So bring your reading lists..! Haha.
This group is a great opportunity to find recommendations for reading – in all genres and mediums. All reading counts! From non-fiction and prose to graphic novels, manga and comics.
Above all, this is a group to encourage reading and share what we are excited about – whether it’s something we are currently reading, or something on our list or something that is a forthcoming release… Let’s talk about it!
