SOUR CHERRY CON 2023 IS ALMOST HERE!!! Are you pumped??? Mark your calendars now for May 6 and May 7 the first and ONLY mini comic convention in the city – right here in the heart of the Mission!
If you came last year, you’ll remember that we had some zine-making, free comic books, and an epic Artist Alley on Day 2 (Sunday). Cosplay is encouraged, free comic books will be available and we will have a Zine-Making Workshop at 1:00 PM with Sarah Maloney (sign up on Eventbrite to reserve a spot as capacity is limited – please prepare to tip Sarah for her teaching expertise day-of the event).
After the workshop I am very excited to announce that we’ll be hosting the LUMPIA WITH A VENGEANCE crew again with an all-new red foil SOUR CHERRY EXCLUSIVE of the new comic “LUMPIA ORIGINS” – more info about the movie and the crew at their website. If you aren’t familiar, you should definitely check it out! They are a local, Daly-city based all-Filipino group and the movie is a ton of all-ages fun. Watch the trailer here!
For Sour Cherry Con we will see the return of the popular $5 manga bags, $5 comic bags and $5 book bags all weekend (while supplies last!) and we will also have a big raffle at the end of the day. The winners will be drawn at 5:00 pm! The prize will include: comics, books, graphic novels, manga and some other fun things.
